How to add 2000 Combinations per product

I want to add tours which have a constant price per person and also may purchase the tour along with children (price per child is constant as well). All of this must be able to indicate the date of the tour.

My solution is to create attributes for Child, Day and Month - then make Combination. With this I have to make 365 combinations for 0 child, another 365 combinations for 1 child, etc. All of this for just one tour - I have several tours.

Is this correct, if this is the only solution? And how can I add them in bulk rather than manual!
Does any one have a better solution?

If you need to create your 2000 combinations automatically, you can do it with a CSV file (created with quick copy/paste in Excel) and Store Commander.
