ysco
Hello allmoneygomyhome,If you do not have a database then it will not work. Before you install prestashop make sure that you create a database first. You can create a database on your host true directadmin or Cpanel depends on the host, there you can create a database, give the database a name for example Prestashop and a database password. Now you gonna install prestashop again and then at step3 you fill in the information off the database that you just created before and if you filled in the correct info in step 3 and check then it will find your database and the setup will finish its installation and you see it works now.If you do not have a database then all important stuff to make the site working can not be written, just follow these steps and you will be oke. ysco.. Kelvin Koh
in step 3, it showes "You have to create a database, help available in readme_en.txt" Hi, I encountered the same problem as allmoneygomyhome, only that I had already created a database BEFORE I even upload the prestashop contents to my server. Anybody knows what's wrong and what steps do I take to rectify this? Thanks a lot.

Kelvin Koh
Calisyoda -> Have you also grant user access rights for your database ! If not you have to do so before going to installation. I have granted all the user access rights (all ticked), but it says that the user can't access/use the database after creation. In addition, when I manaully create and add the user to the databse, I tried to allow all user acces rights, but the last rights (Execute) is persistently denied to be added.Could it be the reason? What should I do?Update: Problem solved. Had my webhost look at the config files during installation and installed successfully.
furlongdesign
I have the same problem and I could not resolve it, nor my webhost (mt). Any ideas?
