Wishlist error message

I have my wishlist block towards the bottom of the page, typically not in view if you don't scroll down. The problem is, if someone clicks on the 'add to my wishlist' button when they are not logged in, they are oblivious to the error message that appears on the wishlist block telling them to log-in - as the block is out of view.

I need some help with code that will allow me to show the error message just below the add to wishlist button.

I hope we can get more support to the wishlist module. It seems to be quite lacking! Bump!
