Superfish Menu items are hidden by image

Hi!

My site is up and running and everything works fine except that in IE7 the superfish menu does not display correctly since it gets hidden behind another image. This is just true for IE7; all other browsers I've tested by so far do work (Firefox, Opera, IE6, IE8, Safari on Mac/Win)

I am using Julien Breux Top Horizontal Menu; I've already played around with all z-index settings and alike but I can't find a way to make it work;

Further I do not find the reason why the visited links in IE7 within the same menue become slightly smaller font-size; I do not see this behavior in the other browsers and I also can't find any reason for this in the CSS
