1and1 URL Rewriting Nightmare - Am I Alone???

I have linux hosting with 1&1;UK.
It is a cloud server hosting with dedicated IP, 2GB RAM.
The OS is Plesk 9.0.1.

When I enable SEO Friendly URL, my site just goes dead.
1&1;have no clue about it.
I posted on a related thread on forum but no response .

Hi, i have a virtual hosting with 1&1;, and my rewriting is ok.

In the htacces i only had to enable it :
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /

But in the httpd.conf file on your server, you have to activate it by removing the # in this line :
#LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so

Thank you very much for your response.
However problem still seems to be there.
I dont know if it is because of the fact that I exported Database tables from a previous version of Prestashop and thus had to change structure of few tables to make it work.
