SMJ
I tried a 1-click upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6 which crashed part-way through (gateway timeout). I am on a shared server and cannot change the timeout. The site was only partially updated and I could not get to the update page to roll back. I have uploaded all the previous files for 1.4 but still cannot get the site to work:"Bad subdomain SQL query". My SQL backup is a few weeks old (stupid, I know) so I wondered if there was some way to salvage this mess. If I could just get to the back-up page...??? MaxXxWeber
Good day, SMJ You should have gone the other way. It is not painless to update Prestashop through 2 branches. The best way is to backup and update on the local server. You need a programmer and current backups. Maybe I and our studio would be able to restore your store to the state that is dated to your backup database. Write in a personal - we will discuss. On all the stages, make backup! Perhaps, it will not be possible to restore, but in any case, you can restore orders, goods, categories from the current broken database.
SMJ
Many thanks for your response. I did pay for an expert to fix it in the end. Financially painful, but I still have my hair...
