Alpha Health
At step 3 of the instalation process, I keep getting the same error no matter what I try for the database server name. It just keeps saying:Database server was not found. Please verify the login, password, and database server name fields. My database server name in phpMyAdmin is localhost. I have a database with a username and password setup correctly. I can connect to it via mySql workbench remotely as well as phpMyAdmin as I said, but this install script keeps complaining. I have even tried to use my domain name for the server name. I tried the domain name with a :3306 at the end too. Nothing works. Shy of editing the install script myself, I am stuck. MikeChoy
Does the user have to be root with no password or something? You do need a password and user not necessary be "root" It would be good if you check with your service provider for this as it depends on your hosting site.Just another question : where are you installing your prestashop? local machine or hosting site
