home featured products do not show in chrome but ok in IE/FF

hi there, hope someone can give me a hand...

my problem is as follows:

in chrome, only 9 out of 35 products show on the homepage. i have 3 products per row, so it shows 3 rows of 3 products instead of 12 rows of 3 products (+ 1 row with 1 product at the bottom of the page), as it does correctly with IE/FF.

moreover, the last row of products (in chrome but not in IE/FF) is being concealed half way through by the footer.

site is on local server only right now, so no URL. sorry.

also, you may wonder why i chose to display 15 rows instead of a more manageable number of rows??? well, pretty simple. pagination does not work. dont ask me why. i have no idea. obviously, i tried with 6/9/12 etc products displayed on homepage before setting it to 45 products

right now, my most urgent need is to have the chrome problem solved. if you guys can throw some pagination help too, well, that would awesome.
