evo301
IS there a way to discount a specific product attribute: for example - You have a shirt "A" that shirt comes in three diffrent colors red blue green (attributes of shirt "A") I want to send out a code for 10% green shirt "A", there is noway to do this without making products for every color correct? This makes it very difficult when doing promotions especially with Items that come in flavors/colors etc.The site we are building now sells Popcorn - that comes in various sizes and flavors, so we want to make one container 10 oz - in 10 flavors, we only want to discount the chocolate flavor - and we cant do it because they are all part of the 10 oz product. If anyone knows how to do this or how to target a combination of a product please let me know - if you cant do this its something that should be thought about - you can do this in other store apps, but we dont want to create individual products for every flavor or color of an item. tomerg3
Prestashop doesn't have the capability to offer a coupon only for one product, and certainly not for one attribute combination. It is a feature that I would also like to see added (at least product specific voucher).Much like anything else, a custom modification can be made which will allow those features, but it requires quite a bit of work. evo301
Tomer - I sort of figured out a work around for discounting one product - it requires extra work, but this is how Im doing it now.1. Make a new category in catalog called (DISCOUNTS) - HIDE CATEGORY2. Make Subcategory called - (3 Dollars Off RED SHIRT) 3. Make coupon voucher code called (THREEOFF)4. Make that code for the subcategory you made5. Go into that specific product and add it to the subcategory in step #2now people can select that product and use the code THREEOFF and it will only work with that specific product.AS for what I need - its not possible to do - and this process above needs to be simplified in the voucher area
tomerg3
I agree, I actually suggested this workaround for someone here in the forum, but I wasn't sure if it works since I did not test it.As for the combination, it will require more custom work, not sure how many hours exactly, but it may require quite a bit of modification.
