single country setup

G'day
I am setting up version 1.4 for selling physical products in Australia only and would like to have only one currency, country, tax, etc.. so as to simplify administrative tasks. Can anyone detail the basics of how to delete (not just disable) all these components please.

I guess this has been covered before so any links to previous posts covering this would also be helpful.

Hi,

Do it in following steps (all in back-end):
- Shipping -> Zones -> Delete unnecessary zones
- Shipping -> Country -> Disable unnecessary countries
- Shippng -> Carriers -> Delete all carrier -> Create your own carrier -> Check this carrier is available for your zone

I would really like to have all mention of countries removed as all my customers are based in Australia so lists of countries and zones and currencies are superfluous.

Hi John,

I'm in the same boat as you - it seems a bit ridiculous to have to go through a list of 244 countries, disabling each one individually! Any advice that you (or anyone else) might have would be most helpful
