Upgrade suggestions for 1.1.0.5 to 1.3.3 please!

Hi folks,

Got quite an old version going here and really feeling the need to upgrade to 1.3.3
Does anyone have a sensible walk-through for me - bearing in mind it is a live and well-used shop?

Can i make a suggestion, try installing a local version and doing the upgrade on that to see if any problems should occur.

Just make sure you backup everything before carrying out the upgrade. Check any modules you have purchased too to make sure they are compatible.

same for me is it safe to upgrade and how do we upgrade ( i have much visitors and clients who shop on daily base so i can't afford to take the website down.

make a database copy
copy of shop

make update local or in remote hosting


I have domain pointing to folder shop

I make a upload to shop1.3.3 (it mean presta1.3.3)

when I finish I rename folder to shop_old and shop


sometimes I need update database install again shop, after that I copy database to current shop



if someone have better strategy to update a shop please share with us

I do not suggest you to upgrade if your site is currently running will. Upgrade maybe lead to instability.

mmmh, strange after a transfer from server it seems my modules are not showing up in the admin they are still working and in ftp they show present they only do not show up in admin modules..

Somone know how to fix that?
