product description not showing up

Hi,

i installed a brand new version of prestashop. i created some categories and products, but the product description does not appear when i visit a product.

do i have to enable a module to see the product description on the product page?

The product description does not require specific module to be installed. Are you using the default theme, and where do you put the description at "Short Description" or "Description" textarea?

the theme is the default.

its not showing the description and also its not showing the short desc.

In the default theme the short description is displayed in the box on the right, over the "More details" button. The description is at the "More Info" tab at the bottom of the page.

The condition for showing the short description is:

{if $product->description_short OR $packItems|@count > 0}

You do not have short description for this product in the current language. You have only added short description/description for "Spanish".

solved by myself!
just understood that i have to write each description for every language options i use ^^

This is an old thread, but where do you write the various language versions - With regard to the featured products, the short description is showing in every browser with me except Maxthon. In Maxthon the bottom tab with full description is not showing either.

Change the flag at the end of the box where you type your description in.
