MrMcQ
For some reason, even though all my product quantities (even combinations) are set to 999, I'm getting notifications that the stock is low. Its currently set to '3' when the notification should be sent, but I don't know why this is happening! I went to myphpadmin, and all the 'quantity' fields are set to 999, but I notice the 'out_of_stock' is set to '2'...does this have anything to do with it?? I am in the need of immediate response, please. tomerg3
Are those messages from the mailalert module?Check the bug list, maybe a bug like that was already reported (I think I recall seeing something about stock recently)
MrMcQ
I found this thread that spoke of a patch for this problem with mailalerts module: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/73678/configuring___using_prestashop/out_of_stock_emailYet, I'm weary to think that this patch is only a temporary fix for a bigger problem, but this never happened before I moved my store to a new server/domain...perhaps therein lies the problem. But I went through the whole database and replaced all old site instances with the new (?)
tomerg3
Is it possible you just did not notice it on the older server? Were you using the same PS version?
MrMcQ
I'm afraid not...we did all sorts of testing with orders and this hadn't happened, and it is the same version as well (1.3.2.3). The most I changed having anything to do with the ordering process was add the Authorize.net module and it works fine. I might try deactivating it to see if that helps...but I think thats a pretty far-fetched idea :|
tomerg3
I would just try to implement the fix, as it seems to be a proper bug in 1.3.2.
MrMcQ
I tried the patch. Its not fixing it...I don't why I keep getting these notifications saying that I'm out of stock.
MrMcQ
(This entry had another issue which has been resolved, BUT the original Out of Stock issue has not)
MrMcQ
The images show the email that I'm receiving about only one of almost every product thats being purchased by customers...all saying the stock is low or empty, when you can clearly see via my back-office and via the database quantity numbers say that they are VERY much in stock (all set at 999). Like I said, the good thing is that customers can STILL purchase products, but that's also because I have it set customers to be able to purchase regardless of '0' count quantity...which I'm fearful to test in case it DOESN'T. Any further ideas?
MrMcQ
I've figured out that the common characteristic with all these order notifications for the items being emailed as Out of Stock, but may have to do with my PS version, so I'll be trying to update from 1.3.2.3 to 1.3.3.3 to alleviate the problem. Will update soon.

MrMcQ
Ok..so far, it seems to have worked I'll keep a close eye on it, but I think the update solved the Out of Stock issue! v 1.3.5.

MrMcQ
I totally agree..I now need to remember to take note of any files I change or add a mod to. If its not saved, it'll be replaced unless its not in the theme, modules, or mails folder..which is still to be expected, but it'd be awesome if it were like Wordpress in that regard. qreations
I still hope someone will write a module for migration from 1.3.->1.4.Btw, i found a solution for my problem: when you use the combinations generator, it also works in 1.3.1.1. No errors are produced! A manual combination still produces the error. So, i'll wait for v1.4 final :-)René
dewaz
I use PS 1.3.1 and get this problem also.I make some shortcut solution by replace "UNAVAILABLE" text at product-list.tpl become "AVAILABLE"I'm worry about upgrading. It might bring other problem that I cant find.
