Random orders not being returned as paid from NoChex or Paypal

Recommended Posts

A weird one this.
NoChex is the payment module. It has worked for 18 months without issue. In the last week or two, a couple of orders were made and payment taken by NoChex. However, it appears the paid status was not returned to PS and the order not created.

This is happening in and amongst lots of other successful orders being taken using the same system.

The customer record displays their 'last basket' as being the thing they paid for - it just doesn't come back correctly.

Obviously, the problem is post-payment - is it possible that interrupting the payment screen/process at NoChex could break the return call to PS?

I can't think of anything else other than some intermittent bug at NoChex.

Help/advice greatly appreciated.

Hello Torbz,

Have you enabled Auto-Redirect within the Nochex Payments Pages Setup? Read the following knowledgebase article to find out how: Setting Auto-Redirect

This could be the issue causing payments to not complete, if a customer leaves without returning to your store, the transaction will not be recorded.

Hi Matthew,

Wow....ok, so the Nochex guys are chasing around in 3rd party forums?! Well, that's kinda cool!
Does that also mean you guys are working actively on a payment gateway module for PS to work with your system flawlessly?

That would extremely commendable if it were the case - though admittedly, the current one I'm using seems to work just fine!

Thanks for the info - I've activated the auto-redirect function so we'll monitor closely to see if it occurs again.

Regards,
Torbz

Hi Matt,

I've done as you said, but the problem persists and seems to be inconsistent - and it happens with Paypal too!

Houston - we have a problem....

Does anyone else have any ideas or have they experienced this issue? I'm guessing they have, as I've found a few posts about it. Any permanent resolutions?
