create custom ordernumber

Hello,

I know presta uses the db-ID from ps_orders as the ordernumber (padded with zeros).
Now, what i need is to have some characters in my ordernumber. So it should look like SE-123445 or FR-123455.
I know this is not possible with the default prestashop code.
Is there a module that can do this? Searched around but could not find a solution for it.
Or do i need to make my own module for this? Hope not, but fear the worst.

New in PrestaShop, I had the same problem of course and asked here for some information relating to this subject but it seems there is no available solution. In fact, I had no response and I searched for any relevant solution.
This is the reason I am working on it and trying to adapt a modification I made previously for osCommerce which provides a customized order number with the possibility or not to display the id_order number to the customer.

But it is cool that you're working on it. Once your finished, can you give me a heads up?
Are you willing to share your code once it is working?
Otherwise i will code my own solution for the problem.
