Go back to 1.3 from 1.4

Hi,

I have upgraded my prestashop to 1.4 and i want to go back to 1.3

How du i do this, i do not have a backup, is it still possible?

I have tried to move the products to a 1.3 install, but without luck?
I to the img folder, and the products, img tabels from the database, but i cant make it work

Can anyone help me out of this trouble.

It's not possible to downgrade PrestaShop. You should have made a backup. Without one, there isn't anything you can do other than do a clean install of the older PrestaShop version and re-configure and re-add the products.

I will reinstall version 3, as version 4 gives many errors.
I do have a back up of version 3 and 4 databases. Which one should I import when I install version 3?

if you have backup your files and database from 1.3(or any ver.), you don't need to install like new prestashop

 

what you need it just:

copy all files in same place and do the same with data base

or create new clean database form you backup,

import what you have backup and edit a config file (/copnfig/settings.inc.php )

 

define('_DB_NAME_', 'your_database_name');

 

for change name of old data base to new.

Just like Anseme said. Its very easy if you have a backup .... if they only will make the upgrade process as easy

 

First, upload your database from 1.3 version

Next, delete all your current files on your site.

Lastly, upload all your old backup files from 1.3 to your site

 

Thats it, magically everything is back to normal like nothing happened.

I recently tried to upgrade to 1.5 from 1.4 and boy did i have a problem. Luckily to roll back is very very simple ...."IF" you have backups in place.
