Gennaro
Hi all, about "Customers groups" planned features, what's the progress status? Is just planned or is in development? In public svn trunk seem to be no trace.I'm a PHP dev, and I need for my current project. If development had already begun would be involved? Otherwise I might consider starting to implement this feature.I am awaiting feedback! Regard,Gennaro
Damien Metzger
You might consider starting to implement this feature :]Would be really useful
first1
Gennaro,I am very interested in this feature as well (it is great if you are running an online service as opposed to a shop).I would be happy to help where i can (or in testing) please PM me if you would like us to talk.thanks
Gennaro
@Damien Metzger: you can confirm that this isn't under development? I have already started to integrate this, and I'm working on your svn version updating daily. That way if you feel you should decide to incorporate the changes in trunk.About this, you can give me some kind of development specific (best practice, reference and so on)? So far I have proceeded with a bit of reverse engineering... For instance would be useful to have resources on the wiki that are currently coming soon ( http://www.prestashop.com/wiki/#Other_documentation ), especially Architecture guides.@first1: what do you means _"it is great if you are running an online service as opposed to a shop"_? Thanks anyway, and stay tuned
first1
I meant:If you are running a business that does online services for example:my business where i provide some analysis for 6 items, where clients can login and see some report or information in a freequently updated section.the subscription would be that one user would have paid for one product and you dont want him to see the information that is related to the other 5.for that, groups can be very usefull so each group of users can login to their only area.I hope that explains it. if you would like to talk further about it, please PM with your skype and would be happy to have a chat. Damien Metzger
Reverse engineering is a good practice The more you copy/paste Prestashop's files, the better it is ^^
