Product images will not load

I hate to cross post but I have to get this problem solved,

Hello, I am working with a Client and installing a Prestashop store for them, Everything is going well except for we cannot get the Product images to load, they are under 20000KB and are in a JPG format, When you edit the item and add the picture, it will give a General CGI mishandle error and When you go back there’s sometimes 101 of the same Item in the store. is there something I need to give permissions to for writing?
This is the Exact Error I’m getting when trying to add images to products:

CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

I should note that all the other images load correctly, We are able to change the logo etc, just not the product images.

I either have to get this solved or move onto another more functional Software. I cannot keep sitting on this problem.

If it is 20000KB, it means 20M, it is too big. By default, the max size is 2M.
If it is 20000B, it means 2K, it should be no problem to upload. There might be some problem with your image data.

It's not the images, and it's not the size, I make sure the pictures are smaller then the maximum. allowable, When you go to upload a image to the product it'll sit there for 5-10 minutes before Giving the CGI error, and if your lucky it wont multiply anything. if your unlucky it's 101 new items to deal with of the same thing...

I'm like you--I can't get my images to load either--nothing happens and there is a red bar att he bottom of my page that says "defined"--waht does that mean????? I can't keep fussing iwth this either--taking all my time and I have to have a store front--sigh--wish I had not read good reviews--this is a nightmare for something taht was supposed to be preinstalled!

OK--the manual says this:

To add one or more images to your product:

Click the "Upload an image" button and then select at least one image file from your computer to upload. You can select as many images as necessary by keeping the Ctrl-key pressed while selecting files. Validate your selection, and the upload starts automatically.

 

I get to the picking a picture from my computerpart, but what does"validate your selection" mean? when I click the "open" button to up load the picture, a red bard spreads across the bottom of the page and a red X appears and the word "defined" . thenit fades out and no picutre is up loaded.

 

Please tell me what I am doing wrong!!!!!
