Recommended Posts

hi

just installed new 2.0 module and i like that it clearly gives customer the option to pay by credit card ,

BUT

when customer go to pay pal page to make payment- there is only final price, before with old module there were names of product which i think was good idea.

what module do you use for paypal? which is best ?

The the credit card option is default or not, it depends if it is your first time you reach Paypal or not.
Paypal save some information at your browser cookie. Once you use Paypal account, next time, use Paypal account will be default option.

For the items details, I think it depends on which version, old version only display total, newer version will display detailed items. If you are using 2.0, it should be able to do that. See attached screen.

But by default, the panel is closed, you need to click the ARROW to open it.

You can see detailed information (with ARROW button) or not, it depends on what information your Paypal module posted to Paypal server. If your Paypal Module posted detailed items list, that should be available.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that screen image uploaded is created when I use my own Paypal module. My module post all detailed item list to Paypal that why it you could see the items list at Paypal site.

I didn't check standard Paypal module 2.0, but as I know the version 1.7 should be OK. Maybe Paypal 2.0 only post total amount, if it is so, you will not be able to see the detail information.

By the way, my module has many more new features like Express Checkout, automatically adding "State" data, plus fixed all known bugs in standard Paypal module. If you are interested, you can find detail in this thread

If you are using some kind of Vouchers, then there will be is no detailed information displayed on Paypal payment page.
Because Paypal does not provide API to allow a negative amount value of items. So if there is any voucher is used in a order, paypal module will not pass the detailed information, just pass the final total amount.

Why don't you share the solution here in this thread?

I don't see product details, so i'm really curious, how did you solve this problem.

If you are using 2.0, it should be able to do that. See attached screen.

At the moment i'm using the latest PS version (1.4.1), where PayPal version is 2.4 and i don't see any product details or arrow, so probably it doesn't depend on what version u use.

That is showing on Paypal payment page at Paypal side, not on module configuration screen.
If you use Paypal API, you will not be redirected to Paypal website, it means you will not see it.
