Coding into template

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I installed the prestashop without big problems (even German version, with German language file). So far everything has been done and I am ready to publish the shop ... but: I wanted to write something to the header and footer of the template, and this is simply not possible! How can I code something hard into the .tpl-files?

The funny thing about is that the changes are stored on the server and also the css can be modified. But the changes have no effect on the frontend ! Is there a chache binary or a secret alien file I should change to be blessed with fortune?!?

I hope someone could help me.

Best regards,
memi

Changes made to header.tpl and footer.tpl should appear straight away, assuming that Smarty is configured to force compile. You can try clearing Smarty's cache. Delete all the files except index.php in the tools/smarty/compile directory.
