[solved] Possible to "link" the quantity value between 2 instances of the same product?

Presta newbie trying to figure out if it is possible to "link" the quantity value between 2 instances of the same product?

For instance, I have a product that is listed twice (in different categories). The description and product name change slightly, but all the other information is the same. Although there are 2 instances of the product, they share the same inventory.

Is is possible to "link" the quantity values - so that if someone buys the product listed in Category A, the product listed in Category B will reflect 1 less product in inventory?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

There's no built in way to do it, you will have to create a little hack that updates the quantity of both, or create a module with an interface that will do it for you (but will take longer to create).
