edit HOOK_PAYMENT_RETURN in template from wire transfer payment method

Is there a way to change the content of {$HOOK_PAYMENT_RETURN} which is loaded in order-confirmation.tpl? It's displayed on order confirmation pages.
The variable is assigned in controllers\front\OrderConfirmationController.php in initContent(). I failed to add a hook for displayPaymentReturn() and I didn't find a smarty assign hook or anything to change the content from my module.
