Mister Denial
Hi folks,I've searched the entire SEO forum for this and could not find a reply to this: is it possible to have a Page Title that is different form the link displayed in the site navigation? For example, let's say I sell auto spare-parts for different types of cars. My main categories would be Ford, GMC and BMW. For GMC, I would have sub-categories like tires, brakes, exhausts, whatever. The page title for exhausts would be "Exhausts for BMW cars", but in the link overview, I would just like "exhausts" to be displayed, like this (should look like a list, couldn't make it work in this message):BMW spare-parts- tires- brakes- exhausts- ...rather thanBMW spare-parts- tires for BMW cars- brakes for BMW cars- exhausts for BMW cars- ...I also would like the longer title to be used as H1 tag rather than the short navi-link name.Is there any way to achieve this? SEO Modules maybe?I am currently using PS1.3.1.Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated!Have a great weekend folks!Dan
rocky
Have you tried clicking the "Click here to improve product's rank in search engines (SEO)" link and entering a different product name in the "Meta title" field?
Mister Denial
Hi Rocky, thank you for your quick feedback. Actually I did not mean the metatitle, but the real on page displayed title. Currently the navigation link for a product category is identical to the category name, but I would like the navigation link name to be short, and the on-page displayed title to be a bit more exhaustive.Have a great weekend!
