devilsown
I was looking over the demo and did not see a way to manual create orders in the admin. Maybe i overlooked something? Is there a modal for this?
Martin Velikov
It is not included by default in PrestaShop. You can either post the order yourself via the front end then adjust it according to your needs via the admin backend.Alternatively, yes there is a module for this. However, it is paid contribution, and I have not tested it personally. Still feel free to check it:http://www.prestaworks.com/various/30-new-order-20.html
shokinro
I have a modified version of AdminCarts, tha will create order from cart in just one click. But you have to create cart for the customer first as follow steps1. try to create an order at front store, add product to cart, sign up, choose shipping, then stop there.2. go to back office and choose cart you want to click "Create Order"You can get ie here
devilsown
Thanks both of you too. Martin that looks like what i was looking for if its works pretty stream line. with creating an customer, selecting items in the cart and then calculating the shipping amount. Shokinro your would be a good thing to have just to deal with the customers that have a cart in the store and then turn around and order it on the phone. which would be a nice thing. shokinro
Yes mine could also be used in a scenario, that customer successfully paid at Paypal or any other payment method, but because of some unexpected cause, Paypal is not able send back the order confirmation to the store (like server error, network error). This scenario does not happen frequently, but it happens some time. I have experienced and also heard a lot, that why I made this modification.
Torbz
What's the illicit domain name rule then? Can you re-provide it?? I'd like to see the contribution....does it contain rude words then!!?

mytheory.
We recently encountered this situation... we always prefer to have our customers order via our online protocol, it's just easier and more secure. Anyways a new customer insisted that she only do transactions over the phone... so without any other protocol in place here is what I did... and it worked surprisingly well.Note: we use the One Page Checkout module so it made somethings easier, ie guest checkout and it automatically generating a password for the "guest." The previous, as I see could be optional, however the SuperUser module is necessary for future orders for existing accounts - its free.So our new protocol for orders via phone is to start by asking the customer if they've shopped with us before... if they have you would find their account and log in as them using the SuperUser module. If they haven't then you open a browser with your FO and add to cart the items the customer wants (acting as if you were the customer), then checkout, create an account - ask for their email, give them the shipping options, select a shipping option, and a payment method (you'll need a credit card processing module installed), then ask for their cc info, type it in, and checkout. If you used the customers email, then all updates and statuses will be sent to them as if they had checkout via online method. The only issue I see is that if you aren't using the OPC module you will have to input a password for that customer... if you already have the OPC module than you can set it to checkout as a guest and it automatically generates a password for the customer, if in the future they wanted to login and check on their order or place one.Works quite well for us... let me know if you see any problems with this setup.HTH! pmfjoe
Presta-Works New Order module works great but you do need to process payment offline with it. http://www.prestaworks.com/various/30-new-order-20.html
nimavakil
Hi there, I have bought the full version of Multi Price (made by oleacorner) and also New Order (made by Prestaworks). Both are great modules. With Multi Price you can set prices for each item based on custiomer group, or per individual customern, BUT when a customers calls to place an order, the New Order module does not take into account the special prices for the customer in question. It only takes into account the normal price, which is pretty annoying. Does anyone have a solution ofr this?
msk69
i used to use the prestaworks module, but found a much nicer module: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/administration-tools/2290-orlique-the-order-manager.htmlWorks perfectly! SB Lite
Presta-Works New Order module works great but you do need to process payment offline with it. http://www.prestaworks.com/various/30-new-order-20.html I bought that module - Was a complete waste of moneyTook a while to get working - you cant update the order status afterwards and is quite fiddley to use.Worse still it doesn't add the totals up, so if you do take a phone order you need to add the total up your self - not ideal when your on the phone to the customer! devilsown
SB Litelooking at the video on there page it looks like its adding the totals up? Maybe the fixed the issue? What did the devloper say about the status change?I need something like this but don't want to buy it and not use it. prestashop should do this by default. SB Lite
HiWhen I used the module it wouldn't add up the totals, haven't seen the video so can't comment. However had some problems installing the module and the developer was very slow to respond and the developer wouldn't allow me a refund despite the module been of no use to me as it didn't allow me to take phone orders.Id avoid the module and developer if i was you. devilsown
Yea the whole way moduals are done, to many of them you have to buy it to see what it does... I don't agrea with not having a demo so people can try it out first. Thanks for the heads up.
pmfjoe
I have used Prestaworks module and Orlique. Prestaworks module is ok and does what it says it will but can be a pain to install and is slightly cumbersome to use.The Orlique module cost more but seems to be a much higher quality module. I would strongly suggest buying it directly from its maker instead of off the presta addons site. http://prestashop-module.de/lang-en/features-backend/78-orlique-der-order-manager.html
devilsown
sounds like the Orlique module does not work as described. Kinda not a good deal when people are not happy and can't get a refund.

Where did you get that from? I see a complaint about the Presta-Works module (which is not Orlique) but no complaints about the Orlique module.
