steve_c
I'm having a complete nightmare with google checkout module on my newly opened shop.I am a Google checkout merchant (just signed up). Customer pays via google checkout so I log into google and accept his order and charge him.He gets a confirmation mail from google but there is *no* order in prestashop! In the meantime - the products on his order were purchased by other customers - really embarrassing. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? Thanks in advance
Amish Gramish
I know I ran into this problem before.Do you have your website set up with SSL?If you don't have it set up with SSL, payment modules like PayPal and Google Checkout won't work, because they need to receive secure information from Google and PayPal saying what was bought and by who. It's a way to make sure all their information isn't stolen when it goes over the internet. That way, Google and PayPal can make sure that the information is safely transferred over the internet and they can maintain their status. So, SSL is what you need. If it's not that, I don't know what it could be.
shokinro
As my understand, it is not necessary to have SSL for Google checkout. I just finished set up one site for my customer at http://kctrading.net/, it does not use SSL.I am not quite sure about Paypal API module. but I am sure that standard Paypal module does not require SSL either. My Paypal Express Checkout module also does not require SSL. If you are interested, you can get more info at this thread.http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/77195/The site mentioned above use both Goodle checkout and my Paypal Express Checkout without SSL. Yun
Steve - I've just worked my way through a similar problem and I think this thread will go a long way to sorting out your headache:[sOLVED] Google checkout generates an http API callback? It's worth reading the first few pages to understand the mechanics, but page 3 has a summary of the solution if you simply can't wait.Good luck!
