Looks like good local install, but can't view front-end.

I installed v1.3.2.3 on local machine (running vertrigoserv) to check it out. Install looked OK, and I get into back office fine, was able to change themes, create category and add item, but when I try to view the front to see what the store actually looks like, it just takes me to http://localhost which shows my phpadmin page. What am I doing wrong?
