Adeniyi2010
Hi friendsI successfully install prestashop on my website but I cant work at the admin backend. Whenever I click anything at the backend after login, the site log me out. I have installed in both root public folder and subfolder but it is still the same problem. I have talked to my host and they think the problem is with prestashop. Can anybody help me out please. It would be a shame to go this far and get stuck. I can see the frontpage but the backend is useless as it is. I cannot do anything.Thank you.Niyi
Adeniyi2010
HiAfter waiting for days without avail to a solution to my problem, I think I will just abandon the whole idea of using prestashop altogether for now. Its a pity though, it seems to be a good solution but with problems like this just when you are starting out - its is completely disappointing. Maybe no one knows the solution, but I will still check from time to time to see if it is something I can come back to.Best of luck to other posters. MrMcQ
Who is your host, and have you tried backing up your data and re-installing PrestaShop? Try this, it worked for me whenever I could not longer log-in to the back-end: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/32238/ Trust me, I've been around to a lot of the other shopping softwares; PrestaShop is the choice for complexity, interactivity, and complete customization...and then some...and its FREE! I came from using one called Ecwid, and it was nice, fluid, very multi-functional...but came nowhere NEAR what PrestaShop offers, not to mention a real force in support and updates. You can see for yourself, though! Best of luck
Adeniyi2010
Thank you for the encouragement. I am hosted on Inmotion Hosting. They feel the issue is with prestashop and I agree. Something is not okay and it needs to be fixed. I host a number of websites there using joomla, magento, etc and I have never faced this problem. There seems to be an omission somewhere and I hope it is resolved in prestashop next version.
