Tutorial on how to add multilangual pages under block links

Recommended Posts

From v1.1 on you have a CMS option underneath the tab Tools in your Backoffice. There you can create/edit informational pages with pictures in all the different languages you defined for your shop. Once you have those created you can activate the display of these pages within the Information block by going to the tab Modules and there choose configure for the Info Block.

In that case you have to use the one row fields within your Tools tab and there the Front Office translations for your different languages. You can create one HTML layout and copy/paste that into that one field for each language with the only difference the language used inside that page. As it accepts HTML you can add images etc. if you want but editing is not easy in V1. If you have some time left I would certainly wait for V1.1 and not put much, if any, time in V1 anymore.

I think V1.1 will evolve very fast and as it offers a lot more a little patience will be very worthwhile. I have just started to look at beta 3 and a lot has already been fixed since beta 2. Best way is to setup a test environment where you can testdrive the things you really need to have working. If email notifications and Paypal are working for you now I suppose the chance is very big they will work well with the beta's also (I surely hope so as I need those options too :-) ).

Hello Dimitri,

Yes you can but only partial. When you go to your backoffice->Modules and there to the configuration of the footer links block you will find a similar method. Within the file blockvariouslinks.tpl inside the directory modules/blockvariouslinks you can do some more changes if needed.

i change the footer.tpl, but i have only a link "example" and when you click it opens in the center column

when i put html directely in the footer.tpl, it works, but only one language !!!!
