Login module not working

HI,
Yesterday I installed PrestaShop. Its very nice. I really liked it.

But i am facing few issues with it.

1) In the admin section whenever i am doing any action it is updating the database but on the UI side it is just showing blank page. I have to manually goto the address bar and restrict the URL till ../admin140/index.php


2) Whenever any user tried to log into the system via front end, he is not able to log into the system. First it is taking too log to display the page.

Once he enters the username and password the web page dispalys http://www.ntid.rit.edu/prospective/testabhi/pre/authentication.php?back=my-account.php in the URL but doesnt display anything on the screen.

Please advice me ....

as I found out so far on this forums, the blank page is because of the PHP 5 setting, that must be activated at least 5

it's funny that i'm giving you adviced and my page is still displaying BLANK PAGE, i will chek with my hosting provider for those changes,
