how to turn this off?

How do you turn off this information gathering at the bottom of the page in 1.4?

I have preferences -> performance force compile set to no.

I dont have version 1.4, but have you tried turn off the module in BO ? If it is module?

What module would it be?

I don´t know i didn´t install PS 1.4. But try to check module position and look on footer section. Maybe the module is here.

I cannot find it. I uninstalled all the stats and removed anything on the footer position.

It seems rather that it does not insert the PS. Try contact the hosting service.

Don't know it this can be turned off in BO or in some config file but you can
delete FrontController.php and MySQL.php files from override\classes folder
and all messages should be gone.

Come to think of it I seem to remember reading something about deleting these files but don't remember where I read it.
