uddhava
I dont know what you are trying to ask/say here, but an FTP program usually cannot edit a file. And what kind of file do you want to edit then?Prestashop's homepage is made up of different kind of template files and modules. So what do you want to change? Please be more specific when asking, and always mention your Prestashop Version. QuadDamage
FTP = File Transfer Protocol.Ways to edit files on your webhost:1. Via your file manager in your web hosting control panel. 2. Locally on your computer with a suitable program(text editors, web editing apps/programs), then uploading via the hosting control panel or FTP.If you have a good program like Microsoft Expression Web or Adobe Dreamweaver, or any similar program, those usually have FTP function built in to them. So buy one of those 2 programs, or find an alternative with similar features for free or for less money.I highly recommend Expression Studio 4 (includes Expression Web). See here: http://www.microsoft.com/expression/products/Purchase.aspxThe price is expensive, but I can refer you to a place for buying it for 50% off if you are interested. But I can't advertise on Prestashop forums so that's your call.Good luck.
