caloygwafo
For some category of products, your best option is to attend trade or industry shows in order to locate a supplier. Check out websites of some exhibition centers in your vicinity and find one or two trade shows of your area of interest. Make sure that participants of the trade show are distributors and wholesalers as oppose to large manufacturers. After all, you need to find a supplier who will agree to work with your initial small orders. Trade journals or publications of your related field also could be a great source in your quest to find a supplier. Trade journals publish information on industry trend, articles on major players, various industry related event schedules such as trade shows, and often carry classified sections. Sometimes, they also publish specialty issues such as a buyer's guide or a who's who issue.

guest*
can you upload a working CSV sample file for uploading products with images? It ist so easy to create by your own. On Wiki there are all fields named you can upload with a csv. You must crate a csv with the tables you want on the first line and than the coming lines with the values you want.Example Header (first line) Each table is separated by ;ID; Active; Name; Categories (x,y,z…); Prices; Tax rate; On sale; Reductions; Reference #; Supplier reference #; and so on....The second line and all other comming you fill in your data:1; 1; Product a; 1,23,40; 20.00; 5; 0ID if you just have one (f. ex. by migrating from another system), or let it freeActive: 1 = yes, 0 = noName: Product a is the name of the productCategories: The categories you want that product is includedPrices: 20.00Tax rate: tax rate of the productOn sale: 0 = no, 1 = yes....It is really not difficult. Before you import products it ist better to allready have your Suppliers, Manufacturers, Taxes and Categories in Database. If not Presta creates new one. Before each import save yourt actual database !!!

guest*
The response is very simple: it's not a Excel document, because you usede another tool to encode the file. Unfortunately Excel also is not a very good tool to manage UTF-8 documents. I don't know the tool you used, it doesnot allow to open and edit files ? Try to open with an editor like PSPad. Cost Tamers
Digi,The reality of the matter is, MOST in the forum don't know what they are talking about.I figured it out by researching the web and the forum. Here is a test CSV. Try uploading it. Mark all the headers as shown. Make sure you mark to skip 1 line, and set the separator as a , . Test.csv
