Add link / html in category description - Help??

Hi guys
for seo purpose i really want to be able to make better internal linking on my website.
For this reason, i really need to be able to add html/hyperlinks in the category desciption.
I found this thread:

But its all in French

Can anyone help with this issue - i tried google translate - but its not getting me where i need to go.

Well, better late than never.

What I've done is open category.tlp in your theme page.
Line 30 ish says -

{$category->description}

I've added my link in front of the closing div tag with a couple of breaks before hand.

Click here to go to the Crystal Awards homepage.

This adds a link back to my homepage on every category.
This method is obviously limited to where you can link to but it's what I want for SEO.
