editing item description

hi,

is there a way of showing that an item has SOLD,
if it was purchased outside of Prestashop process, ie. over the telephone in this case.
The only solution I have found so far, to ensure that nobody else buys it, is to delete
the whole item.
Ideally I would like it to remain viewable and to have 'unavailable' or 'sold' by the description.

Just edit the product and set the quantity to 0 and "when out of stock" to "Deny orders". That way, the product is still displayed on the site, but is displayed as "Out-of-stock" and cannot be purchased.
