[SOLVED] Customers stuck in order.php?step=1

Recommended Posts

Hi,
Some of my clients in the checkout process are stuck in order step 1, when they click "continue", nothing happened.
If they change "order.php?step=1 " to "order.php?step=2" in the navigator, they can continue.
I check the logs of the client an see some "Http Code: 302" in order.php?step=1" and in authentication.php
Two clients this week have this problem.
Please, any help would ve very ver apreciated.
Thanks

I use 1.3.1, i find that the module "ip in order page" make this error, i uninstall it and all seems to work ok.
For some reason, most of the clients ip in my store are shown as "127.255.255.255"...so maybe this is the error and not module fault.

I encountered this same bug today. Version 1.4.0.17

Then I deleted my stored address book / alias, and it started to go beyond step=1.

I am wondering how many of customers are encountering this and just get frustrated and abandoned the cart altogether.

Anyone have a fix?

This was happening to me and I had a template installed so I didnt get the correct error message. The reason I was getting this error was because there was a minimum order spend set and the customer had not reached the minimum order. I removed this minimum order and all worked.

I am having this problem too. I am on 1.4.7 (latest version) and the instant checkout just sticks on the first page when the user clicks continue.

However it does create the account in the back office.

In chrome it sends me to a page saying: This web page has a redirect loop

In firefox it says: The page isn't redirecting properly

Please help me solve this.

Thanks

I upgraded from 1.4.5.1 to 1.4.7 via the installer; Replaced every single file except my theme.

I have the error both at customized theme and standard Prestashop 1.4.7 default theme.

Error is in Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9.

I Have cleared cookies and cache.

I have deleted any compiles in Prestashop.

Turned off all enhancements (in performance tab).

I have also turned off Friendly URLs.

This is the error in Google Chrome after pressing "Continue" at order step 1, url is /order.php?step=2

ERROR 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS)

Hi lazmuds,

I wish I could help you, but your logo is a violation of our brand's copyright, and must be removed immediately.

Hi lazmuds,

I cannot help you while your site is in violation of our copyright. In order to not be in violation, you would need to remove the bag from your logo, as you do not have permission to repurpose our brand's copyrighted content within your logo. I'm trying to help you out here before it becomes a bigger issue, but if you would like to nip this in the bud, I must ask you to remove your logo completely from your site immediately until you can replace it with another version. You can do this in your Back Office under Modules > Themes.

Once you have done this, I will be happy to try to help you out, but until all instances of your logo where you have repurposed part of ours is removed from the site, I cannot help you. If you have any additional questions about this issue, please PM me.

Hi lazmuds,

Now that you've removed the offending content, I would be happy to help you out. However, I will need you to bring your site out of maintenance mode so that I can take a look at this for you.

Please let me know when you've done so, and I'll try to take a look.

-Mike

The website is now active, thank you in advance for your help

Actually, on further investigation, I still can't help you out, as you still haven't removed all instances of our logo, as you can see here.

Once ALL use of our logo has been removed from your branding, I will try to take a look at this again.

-Mike

Please refresh your browser I did remove that image

So is this working for you now?

-Mike

No its not working it doesnt go to the next page after entering details, you can try it for yourself on my site. just a product into the cart and try to checkout using the guest option you will see that the page wont go anywhere,

please note that I have tried it on the default prestashop theme and I get the same problem

In internet explorer I am not getting any error msg but it hangs when you click proceed after entering the guest checkout details, I does not do anything, it keeps hanging on that page for ages. Please note that the 5 step checkout is turned one.

I have been reading on this forum a lot of people are having the same problem

I had the same issue and can confirm that the fix suggested in the bugtracker (see post 35) does indeed solve the 310 redirect issue in 1.4.7.0. But it only applies to this version since the fix means removing a line in OrderController.php that has been added in 1.4.7.0. That line of code was added to solve another issue, so it could be that removing this line will re-introduce that other issue again. Anyway, I left a note in the bugtracker regarding this.

Topicstarter ngruy created this topic more than a year ago, so I'm pretty sure he wasn't using version 1.4.7.0 at that time :)

I am having this same issue after upgrading to 1.4.7. Internet Explorer will just hang after you click continue and on android devices it shows that there are to many server requests. This seems to happen with 5 page check out and guest check out enabled. If you disable guest check out in the BO then it seems to work, but customers will have to create an account. I also tried 1 page check out with guest check out enabled, these settings also worked. This doesn't fix the issue but it's a work around until there is a fix.
