ivan20012
Hi -- I hope someone can help me. I created my shop on my hard drive using xampp. My colleague (who is in another country) also downloaded xampp and prestashop onto her mac. She had no problem opening the default prestashop theme and back office. After I created our shop with a modified theme, I sent the entire prestashop folder that sits in htdocs by instant message. She received the folder, but when she tries to access the shop she gets an error message that the link to the database cannot be established. I assumed that the error was in the config folder. I compared all of the files in her config folder with those in my config folder, and found that the settings.inc.php files were not identical. For example in her settings.inc.php file, her database name had spaces, mine did not, etc. She then replaced my settings.inc.php file with her settings.inc.php, but that did not allow her to open the shop. Instead, she got a new error message "Error 404 127.0.0.1 Tue Nov 16 06:11:08 2010 Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8l PHP/5.3.1 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.1"I get the feeling there are just a few small changes that she must make so that the path is correct and she open up the shop. Could someone please walk me through the specific steps? Thanks.
