taniacr
Hiya! So... I installed a local Prestashop (1.7) store using WAMP. Managed to connect to my remote DB (used in the live site). BUT (and there's always a butt ..), if I configure the remote DB it redirects to the live site, because obviously it's configured in SEO preferences, How can I bypass that? Using htaccess? If so how? Pretty please!
NemoPS
I guess you can set the live db's ps_store_url value to your localhost

And when trying to access from another machine it gives an error because it's redirecting to localhost. Isn't there a way I can disable that option in PS? NemoPS
I am sorry, is it not what you need? If you only have one live DB, I suggest cloning it locally, otherwise you can only have one site running, either locally or live
taniacr
So sorry, maybe I didn't made myself clear. I wanted to keep the site Live and active with a live DB, while I work locally connected to the live DB. I'll clone the live DB in that case. Thank you very much Nemo Edited May 3, 2018 by taniacr (see edit history)
NemoPS
I see that is really not recommended as you can accidentally damage the site by modifying something in the local back office
