noesac
Hi All, I thought I would use this as a way to exchange ideas on how you have / will deal with the Christmas period if you won't be available to run the site over Xmas. Other than the obvious (hiring someone to manage your site), what are some of the things you do to manage customer expectations during this period?I'm thinking: 1) Put a notice on the front page2) Update the postage page, to tell customers the expected delivery time is now different3) Maybe a note on the check out page4) Maybe an extra note in the notification email to say delivery could be longerAnything else? presta-dyr
I normally just change the information about delivery time.I don't like putting up a sign like: "Hey, we're on holiday, so you can just come and steal all the stuff you can see in the shop - see address below" ;-)/Kjeld

Ipood
What is the purpose of the web shop if you are not around Christmas when the sales triples. I would hire somebody.
