littlejim
Does Presta Shop have and embedded feature? Can you use on an existing Website? We already have a web site we are just looking for a decent shopping cart solution.

Can you use on an existing Website? what exactly is an embedded feature? you can use Prestashop as a 'shop' within your existing website. However you cannot just add "payment buttons". In Prestashop, youinstall "payment modules" which take care of collecting the payment from the customer, as well as triggering the order creation process upon successful payment. There are embedded ecommerce systems such as ECWID (Which I have used) and I think snipcart(Which I have not used). Basically you add a small bit of code - just a few lines) to your existing website and the whole ecommerce system appears embedded within your existing site. The payment modules that you are talking about are most likely what other carts refer to as an embedded feature. There are many carts that have this feature. Haylau described it in the previous post. Can you tell me more about these "payment modules" or possibly show me an example of one?
bellini13
prestashop includes many free payment modules. 2 basic ones allow for check and bankwire payments, but you could also look at the Paypal module The following URL will take you to the PS Addons marketplace, which will have plenty of free official and paid payment modules for you to review https://addons.prestashop.com/en/481-payment

Maybe PrestaShop will add this feature in the future. Many shopping cart have that feature. Thanks
bellini13
why would prestashop, which is already a full eCommerce solution, allow you to accept payments for products from a different solution... that is not what prestashop was designed to do.
