Dany
Hi, I'm looking for infos or a guide on how to move our Prestashop 1.7 to a new domain. (old.com to new.com) Server should stay the same. Due to the new EU legislation on intellectual property, one of our brands asked us to change domain name. Starting 1. Mai each brand is accountable for what happens on sites with their name ... We've found guides for 1.6 but the files have changed and can't find any help. Does anyone know which files we have to change in order to make it work on the new domain? And what would be the steps to take? (backup, maintenance, ...) I guess we aren't the first and only ones looking for this help. ^^' Thanks in advance! Rhobur
Go to Preferences->SEO & URL and change the domain from there. If any issue, here is what to check. 1. If the correct domain appear in the ..htaccess file; 2. If the correct domain appears in the ps_configuration table (change ps with your prefix if different) at keys PS_SHOP_DOMAIN and PS_SHOP_DOMAIN_SSL; 3. If the correct domain appears in the ps_shop_url table. 2

My Host tells me I should regenerate my URLs in the Backoffice. I have no Idea where it is located. I'm sure I've missed it somewhere, but the Cache has also been emptied twice already. Any ideas? Thanx again for your precious help!
Rhobur
turning Friendly URL (Preferences->SEO & URL) off and back on would regenerate the .htaccess and the consequent links, probably this is what the hosting means.

Thank you. I tried that as well but it didn't help. I also deleted the cache several times. Does it have something to do with the fact that the new URL is an ALIAS. It has its own folder but nothing changed with the database (connecting to it) Still looking for solutions. We don't understand where the problem is, everything has been changed according to instructions. :-/
Rhobur
if the PS files are in a subfolder of the root domain, you have to athis in the ps_shop_url, in the base url field

It still didn't work. We still get the 500 Error. I'll ask to move to a new hosting space. Aliasing doesn't seem to work. Best regards and many thanks!
