arrowood101
Hi everyone. Long time lurker, first post! Just want to say a big thanks to everyone in this forum, it has helped me so much in the creation of my web page. Now on to my question. My web page sells soaps, and lotions. For Christmas I would like to set up gift baskets that customers can choose from any of my products to include in the basket. I am having a hard time figuring out the best way to do this. If I use the pack option customers can't choose what is in the pack. Been playing around with attributes and attribute groups. Can make this work. The one problem is if I use the attributes manager to create all possibilities, the amount of options gets out of hand to manage the inventory. For example. I want to do a 5 item basket. With 3 different baskets to choose from and currently have roughly 25 different items in stock. The amount of different combos quickly go into the thousands if not millions. This wouldn't bother me, but from time to time I will run out of one kind of soap or lotion. Now sorting through all those to find the ones that contain a certain product will be a nightmare.Any suggestions on a better way to approach this? As mentioned I understand how to do it with attributes but maintaining inventory is going to be a nightmare.Web page:The Valley Soap Factory
arrowood101
So guessing since I got no responses attributes is the only way to do this. Now if I use the attributes manager to make all possibilities, there is going to be millions of different options. Will having this many combos on one item completely slow down my page?
