"free shipping coupon" do not respect categories big problem

Hi I have set up a discount of "free shipping" and create an special category called "free shipping" in my shop that it's in spanish "envios gratis" where I put there all the products that has free shipping and also selected the categories that has just products with free shipping.

When a person make and order of two items one with free shipping and other with no free shipping in theory it would have the shipping cost of the product that does not have free shipping but not, all has free shipping.


I need help on this asap.


PD: if the free shipping product is removed all goes well and no free shipping discount is applied

I am using v1.4.8.2.

- created free-shipping voucher for a category called "free-shipping"

- but when a user added a product mix from both free-shipping and non free-shipping category, the voucher is still valid.

- i need the cart to add shipping cost for this case.

I have always given free shipping on first class items........... cant get first class to work at all so created a voucher for free shipping. Its great when its the right catagory, but add a paid shipping item to the cart and it give Free on all........... not good, especially on items that can cost as much to ship as the customer pays to buy them..........

 

Hopefully someone, somewhere has a solution for this that isnt going to cost an arm and a leg...... Presta shiop has many really great features, but shipping and tax are beginning to really drive me nuts
