Shipping by state, not by country

Please how can I assign shipping by state, not by country. By example:

Zones: Local (same state), Remote (other states)
The zones above do not apply to global countries, else to zones within a country, in this case.
Countries: DefaultCountry (Any or none zone assigned)
States: State1 (asign to zone Local), State2 (asign to zone Remote), State3 (asign to zone Local) etc...

The shipping setting by Weight ranges.

My problem is that prestashop calculate the shipping by selected country instead of selected State. I need that the sipping is calculated by State.

Is it a bug? How can I get this funcionallity? Can I edit the script?

I think the shipping charge is calculated and setting by zone, not by country.
So you can create different zones for your different state.
And set different state to a corresponding zone. In this way, I guess it should work for you.

I said "guess" because I haven't try that but, at least I know that PrestaShop allow this kind of configuration.

I assume you have set everything correctly: set different price for each zone and set different state to different zone.
If it still not working, I have not idea. But I will try it out later when I have time.

I have just tried the setting for different state with different zone, it works.

I have set two new zones as following
1. US East - $25 shipping (for this zone, I set New York State)
2. US West - $20 shipping - (for this zone, I set Washington State)

You can try will following two different address at my demo site, you will see different shipping

123 ABC Drive, Seattle, WA 98121, USA
123 ABC Drive, New York, NY 10036, USA

Thank you for your interest. The problem be the refresh of shipping price appear only after the customer enter to delivery addresses step. Thank you again.
