order summary: totals missing, which var to add?

no idea whether all PS installs have this issue but mine 1.3.2 has: on the order summary page there is a text reference to the order value just before you select your payment method, it reads "Please choose the payment method you want to use to pay the amount of". But there is no amount shown, the sentence ends with "of" whereas you would expect the total order amount here. found now the line in order-summary.tpl around line 235

anyone know what is missing and what to add?
