Orders not Created within Prestashop after upgrading to 1.3.2

I have just upgraded my online store from 1.2.5 to 1.3.2. I have managed to get the site backonline however when i receive an order, i get emailed from Paypal but do not receive an email from Prestashop to say there has been a new order. Also when checking the backoffice there is no evidence of an order being created.

I also have a problem that when adding an item to my cart it automatically adds a shipping charge, then once i login the shipping charge disappears?

Just found another issue, when i try and create a new user account on the website i get an error 'here is 1 error :

an error occurred while creating your account '



Any help with either of these issues greatly appreciated.
