Price update fails when choosing a more expensive product option - RC3

Would be great if you could help me out here, it's the only thing that won't work for me with this version:

I'm using RC3, built 1.0.0.3

In product.php:

if a different product option is selected and the product price should increase by $1 it won't update the price displayed above the attribute options. I guess, it should change with javascript as it does in the final release.
However it shows the correct price if added to the cart.

This problem has been solved but could anybody help me to fix it in the RC3 version - The shop is already in production.
