Incorrect behavior of forum member 'Bandai'

Recommended Posts

In June, I've sold a module to a member of this forum : Bandai, email [email protected]
Since the module delivery, he has contested his paypal payment without any reason.

Mid-june, we've discussed about this module and he has decided to bought it.
As soon as I've received his payment through Paypal, I've sent him the module.
In the following days, I've proposed support for installation, one bug fix and one feature evolution.

A month and half later, he has cancelled the Paypal payment, and whereas I've sent him email, and PM, he hasn't given me any explanation.

@Bandai,
On the following thread, you're saying my module is not working, and that I haven't provided you any support.

For everybody,
I join the mail exchange we had after the delivery. For sure, Bandai is using the module, with the evolution and fix I've provided him.
Since begin of September, I'm trying to get explanation... but no answer.
As a coincidence, yesterday, the litige under Paypal has been definitively closed.... and now, I have some news... strange....

@Bandai,
Let me know the troubles you're having with this module.
I've answered all the emails you've sent me... in less than 3 days for each....
But you've never explain me the troubles you have with the module which is working fine

Probably just trying to scam his way out of not paying you. I hate people who try to cheat you out of what is rightfully yours, seems to be a problem that is happening a lot with paid modules.

Maybe only sell through prestashop addons in future, all modules there are verified to work.

I have spent quite a lot of money on buying modules. Since there is no central control (prestashop doesn't certify...), some modules can not "coexist" with other modules. Programmers blame each other for not doing a good job and I was asked to pay extra if I want the module to coexsist with another module. Ended up paying for a few modules I can't use

@bandai

Any news ?

Hi. Sorry to hear this.

Its very common to user cancel payments. Paypal always prefer refound the money to the user.
For thgis reason, we dont refound and put a clausule in our Terms and conditions. That the money is not refound. The client can test the product and we support for install or solve bugs. But no refound if dont have problems.
In this case, paypal cant refound because the client accept our terms and conditions in our site, and is a software product.
Maybe this help to you

@Shacker,
Thanks for your answer.. I haven't thought that acknowledgment of term and conditions was enough as proof for Paypal.
I'll keep it in mind for the future.

But I'm not sure this will cover the following case :
Suppose someone pay you through Paypal with a fraudulous credit card number (the ones you can quiet easily buy everywhere on the net), accepting your term and conditions.
After a while, the effective owner of the credit card will ask his bank to cancel the transaction, and Paypal will refund the credit card owner. In fact, you can not guaranty that the guy who has used the card is the nominal owner of the card.

IN this case, paypal always refound. For credit card maybe you need to use 2check out, that reviews all transactions and validate better than paypal
