Loose cart contents if i view another product

Help please !!!!!

If i add a item to the Cart and then view another product i loose the contents of the cart, even if a just refresh the screen i loose the cart contents.

Any idea’s please as my live site is affected

Update:

if i use www. in front of the url the site works fine, its the same problem i found with the back office, in able to login unless i have www. in front of the back office url.

Is this a known problem with PS

Please use the Admin tab "subdomains": BO >> Tools >> Subdomains
You should insert one subdomain for each subdomain you want to access to your prestashop.com
e.g., myshop.mydomain.com; www.mydomain.com; lol.mydomain.com; ...

i dont have that option on my version of prestashop (Version 1.0.0.8 )
