Image file size img/p getting bigger with every products import...

Hi! 

I was doing backup and since a few days ago the file size of store was 250mb including 150mb size of images. 

Right now a few days later store have 600mb. 

I found that img/p file is getting bigger(now it's 400mb+ big). In meantime I know i made some imports(5-6times imports) of products (deleted previous products before import). 

I don't imagine what would happen if I delete - import 500 products or more. 

Why is this happening and should this happen? How do i resolve this issue?

I am using Prestashop 1.7.3.
