Hello shacker,

What a great idea to make a prestashop magazine, I have just read it and it looks great and I love it.
It is a bit of everything, I like also the tricks how to do , like how to make the background automatically change ( very usefull )
And the idea off putting best sellers to the magazine is also a great idea , this way we see what the possibilities are with templates, modules, that works perfectly together with prestashop.
And it is a nice thing to promote your site this way ( like mine sample ) that is included, thanks for that..
I think if this is a monthly magazine that it should be as sticky in the thread and would be nice to see it also in prestastore.
Hope that other members also will give some feedback for this magazine , for a first release I want to say Great job...
Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward for the next release.

Best regards,

ysco..

Are you going to charge for the mag?
Do you pay for articles or are you writing all of them?

I would also be willing to do English editing for you. It is apparent that you used a translator
and a lot of things just weren't correct.

If you want to publish in Portuguese and then send me an English translation, I will fix up the grammar and spelling
for English readers.

Very nice. Are you accepting volunteers / contributors?

I might be able to lend a hand when it comes to writing / editing content, suggestions etc

Of course. You can send to me your shop to our showcase, suggestions, comments for modules, and any ideas.
Best regards

Ok here are some rough ideas off the top of my head. Feel free to use any of them:

1) Prestashop evolution - screenshots and side by side comparisons of where it was (v1.0), where it is now (to show how far it's come along), and where it's going in the future
2) User picks - favorite mod. What's the module that has helped you the most / your favorite, how it has really helped to transform your site
3) Random user submission - your "holy @%@#" moment, e.g. accidentally deleted your database, attacked by hackers etc, and how did you recover
4) Interview with Tomer
5) Rocky's performance enhancement tips (from the Nethercott website), and maybe another guide on how to use the Google Pagespeed tool
6) Maybe a monthly "top 3 tips"
7) Forum post of the month
8) Every month you could have like the top 5 tips for a particular area (e.g. Jan you focus on Usability, Feb on security, March on SEO etc)
9) Handy SQL queries for beginners
10) Handy tools and tricks for beginners, such as setting up an SVN, using an FTP tool to perform synching etc.

Ok these are just random thoughts, I'll keep posting them here when I come up with them:)

Hello shacker,

Thanks for releasing the new magazine, I have read it and it is great again.
Useful tips/tweaks .
Also the new ps 1.4 version seems to be a winner, as rocky described the performance tweaks that can be done true BO without altering the code is great.
Can recommend others to read this great magazine ;)

Thanks

ysco..

Instead of "overwriting" the last edition in the first post, you should post each new edition in a separate attachment.

I overwrite to keep this post UP-

The other old versions of the magazine can be downloaded in our store

You can attach the newer edition to your post announcing it, DUH!

Hello Shacker, let me first congratulate you on a job well done, read the magazine and loved it, very useful stuff!!!
Is there a way to subscribe to it? (lets say like a newsletter) so you can send people a pdf-file or a link to that file?

Thanks for your comments.
For the moment, the only way is register in our web, and suscribe to newsletter .
